Meet Our Staff
Mrs. Mary LansingPrincipal
Phone: 715-672-5617 Email: [email protected] It is a great privilege that I get to work with a dedicated staff to serve the families and students of Assumption Catholic School. We have a strong sense of community at Assumption, and work hard to be an extension of the family, supporting parents in their role. It is humbling to witness the support of our Parishes, committees and families. For generations, our Catholic School has focused on faith formation, quality academics, and service learning. Students are taught to be respectful and compassionate. The world presents many challenges for our youth today, and it’s a gift to be part of a Christ-centered school, working with parents to provide our students with a strong faith foundation and needed resources to overcome whatever obstacles life incurs. Phone: 715-672-4276 Email: [email protected] What I love about working at Assumption Catholic School are the children and the wonderful staff I have the privilege to work with at both buildings. Being the secretary at one campus and a teacher's aide at another, I get to work with all ages of children. I love seeing our children attend and participate in the Mass every week at both campuses. I also love being a part of the 4-K classroom as an aide. I get to have a part in teaching them new things and watching them grow throughout the school year. I also enjoy getting to know the many parents I come into contact with everyday. I cannot think of a better place to teach and work. The dedication of teachers and staff is outstanding. |

Phone: 715-672-4276 Email: [email protected] Teaching at a Catholic school provides me the time, tools and encouragement to teach students about the Lord and his great love, to plant those seeds of faith. It allows me, as an educator, to embed faith and Christian values in the academic and social development of the students. Assumption Catholic School’s commitment to academics, community, service and faith are interlaced in the curriculum, the staff, the students and their parents, and are readily seen throughout the school and community. Teaching here has enabled me to nurture my own faith and to encourage others along their faith journey, which has been a blessing to me. Mrs. Jane ReinekeSharing the Word of God with students is a blessing! I feel honored to be able to share God’s Word with His children here at Assumption Catholic School in all of their subjects. The Assumption family strives to meet each student where they are at and help them grow.
Students are able to hear the Word of God throughout the day. They are blessed to learn how He created them special and unique. I am looking forward to seeing them grow in their knowledge of Him and the world He has created. The ultimate privilege is to see that knowledge make a difference in their lives as they interact with each other in the classroom, the school, and at home. I believe that Christian education has a powerful role in developing students for their future as they influence the world around them. Phone: 715-672-4276 Email: [email protected] Since I was a junior in high school I knew I wanted to become a teacher. My goal was to teach at the Catholic school that I grew up in. I met that goal and have stayed here since 1989. I feel so blessed to be at Assumption Catholic School where I can share my faith with my students. I look forward to coming to work each day and being with what I consider to be my extended family. Assumption Catholic School provides a quality education for all who attend. We focus on providing individual attention, meeting individual needs, and making learning fun. Most importantly, we support the morals and values that are being taught at home, and can expand upon it at school. By working together with the families, we can help our children grow into faith-centered adults who have very successful lives. Education: BS UW Eau Claire Hire date: 1989 |

Phone: 715-672-5617 Email: [email protected] I enjoy the family atmosphere that we have at Assumption Catholic School. Everyone is very supportive and giving of their talents. I am blessed to teach at Assumption, where I can share my time, talent and faith with the students. Knowing that I can talk about Jesus with my students during the day gives me great pleasure. We were blessed to be able to offer a Catholic education to our children. My husband, John, attended St. Mary’s and our four children, Kayla, Stephanie, Emily and John attended St. John’s Catholic School. Now our granddaughter, Aubree, is attending Noah’s Ark – Assumption Catholic School. Education: BS UW River Falls Hire date: 1995 |
Mrs. Stacy SpindlerI am thankful to spend time with some of the happiest, purest souls on Earth. Assessing their knowledge growth of shapes, colors and numbers is very rewarding, but my heart ticks the most when I see my littles helping each other with a hard task, sharing a beloved toy, or offering their friend a hug in a frustrating moment. These things start at home and are nourished in a classroom full of peers. The Assumption Catholic School environment enhances the very first school experience of many of the preschoolers. They not only become a part of a classroom, but also a part of the school with a large sense of family. I appreciate how willing and eager the older students are to be a part of the preschoolers’ learning experience. The community of parents, extended families, parishioners, faculty and staff is like no other; always willing to help, encourage and include every single student.

Phone: 715-672-5617 Email: [email protected] I attended Assumption Catholic School growing up, and I am so grateful to have found a home here in my adult life as well. To me, this place has always represented a place of community and safety. Our teachers and families work together to nurture kindness, faith, and hard work in our students. We really put an emphasis on being respectful and having a strong work ethic, which I think is so important. I look forward to sending my two young sons to school here as well when they're old enough.

Phone: 715-672-5617 Email: [email protected] I love teaching at Assumption Catholic school because I am no longer anxious. I am no longer spiritually starving! Let me explain. I graduate from Viterbo University in 2003. I passed up a job opportunity at ACS to pursue "bigger and better" opportunities in the Chippewa Falls School District. I worked with amazing people. I got married. I finished my Masters in Education. My husband and I started having children. I had many opportunities for professional development. Everything seemed wonderful but something was missing.
After 7 years of working in the Chippewa Falls School District, I became a stay-at-home mom, which was one of the most challenging things I have ever done. In addition to taking care of the house and children, I spent time researching nutrition, parenting, "going green", and alternative medicine. Despite being very "busy," something was missing. I was also experiencing a great deal of anxiety. Then, one day I noticed a sign in a doctor's office. It said, "GOD, family and the Green Bay Packers...in that order. - Vince Lombardi". Wow! I had been Catholic my whole life and somehow I had gotten to a point where God was basically non-existent in my life. After identifying the "missing" piece, I spent a lot of time rediscovering the Catholic Faith. During my spiritual journey, I realized that a lot of my anxiety came from not having God at the center of my life. Now that my youngest has started school, I am so grateful to be working at Assumption Catholic School. I am thankful to be utilizing the training and experience I received in the Chippewa Falls School District. I am thankful to be "home" in the parish and school I grew up in. I am thankful to be a part of the future of ACS. I am thankful that I am no longer spiritually starving. Working at Assumption Catholic School feeds my soul and quiets my anxieties. Mrs. Heidi MichelsI enjoy working at Assumption Catholic School because we strive to create a special bond among the students, the home, the school, and the church, so that we all share a strong sense of community. Smaller class sizes, the ability to share beliefs and faith, as well celebrating feast days and holidays that celebrate Jesus give our school a strong "family" feel that you just don't get anywhere else. I attended Catholic school myself in Mondovi, and still have great memories of those days.
