Convalidation of Marriage: Are you a Catholic who married outside the Church? Do you question the validity of your marriage? Catholic Church Law requires baptized Roman Catholics to marry before a priest or deacon. Unless they received a “dispensation from canonical form,” Catholics who exchange vows in the presence of other religious ministers, civil officials, on-line certified friend or family member are not considered validly married in the eyes of the Church, therefore a Convalidation will bring you back in full union with the Catholic Church, allowing for the reception of the Sacraments and graces that come with sacramental matrimony. Please Contact Fr. Emmanuel or Deacon Wendt if you need to have your marriage convalidated or if you have a concern about the validity of your marriage. |
