MINISTRIES
Prayer ShawlsThe Sacred Heart PCCW has an active Prayer Shawl Ministry. Ladies of the parish knit and crochet shawls which are presented to individuals in need of comfort and prayers. Throughout the process of creating these shawls, blessings for healing and comfort for the recipients are worked into each stitch. Prayer shawls can bring consolation to those who are grieving, comfort to those who are ill, and hope to those in despair.
To request a prayer shawl for someone in need, please contact us by email: [email protected] or by phone: Becky Wright @ 715-495-6200.

Seven Sisters ApostolateThe Seven Sisters Apostolate is an international movement, a call to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop...[a] lavishing of prayer for his deeper conformity to Christ.
“In strengthening the priest you strengthen the whole Church… Strengthen the priest and you strengthen the whole foundation, you strengthen everything in the Church.“
–Fr. Gerald Fitzgerald, S.P. Seven women commit to pray one holy hour per week for their parish priest over the course of one year. In a sense, they "spiritually adopt" him. Each of the seven women claims a day of the week that will consistently be her day to offer prayer. Though it is a year commitment, if you wish to continue after that year is complete, you are welcome to do so!
Since we have both a pastor and associate pastor, we have a Seven Sisters group praying for each of them, fourteen women in total. However, more than fourteen women are welcome to participate! Please contact our Anchoress, Kathy Herfel (715-577-1883), if you are interested in this beautiful apostolate of prayer.
